For the Love of Sports 5 Mile Run
Sunday, April 11, 2010
The city of Boston has been blessed with tremendous sports history and success. With championship professional sports teams, a world class marathon, and avid fans and spectators for all things sports, we at Good Sports have a great opportunity to share that success with our city's young people. The Good Sports Road Race is 5 miles celebrating all things sports. We will be honoring the successes of our teams, local sports legends, and our great city by helping ensure that all children have access to sports programs. NESN analysts Tom Caron and Kathryn Tappen will be running to raise money for Good Sports, will you?
This event is being managed by Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises, the athletic management company which helps to put on the Boston Marathon. We hope you can join our team and helps us get disadvantaged youth back in the game!

On Thursday, December 3, Good Sports Chicago supporters gathered at The Cubby Bear Wrigleyville for the Inaugural Bags for A Cause Tournament. Twelve teams of two participated in a double elimination tournament where the winners received four 100 Level Bulls tickets to the December 8 game vs. the New Jersey Nets. The runners up received 2 tickets to the Northwestern vs. Minnesota Men’s Basketball game on February 14, 2010. Spectators of the tournament enjoyed a silent auction featuring a Cubs Dream Day that included 4 tickets, a photo opportunity on Wrigley Field and a scoreboard message for a game in 2010. The event was a success and the participants are looking forward to a tournament in 2010!
Girls Night Out!
Good Sports recently hosted its first annual Girls Night Out. With celebrity MC’s Wendi Nix from ESPN, and Kelly Malone from WEEI, women sports enthusiasts gathered to support Good Sports mission. The event was held right outside TD Bank Garden at Hurricane O’Reilly’s, with great food, beverages and lots of shopping! On top of our silent auction, thirteen Boston area retail vendors came to show-off their goods. Another highlight of the evening was Biggest Loser’s Mark Kruger and television chef Alissa Bigelow, each speaking about how sports and a healthy lifestyle has positively impacted their lives. The event was a great success and a special thank you to everyone who helped make the night possible! We look forward to seeing you there next year!
