Good Sports is seeking a Community Engagement VISTA for a one-year commitment and commencing in August 2021. The VISTA placed at Good Sports in partnership with Up2Us and AmeriCorps https://www.up2us.org/about-vista will engage with leaders of youth sport programs and schools across the country, amplify their voice, and build awareness of Good Sports. This will result in a programmatic capacity build, increased scale, and reach, strengthened relationships in communities in need (especially those of color), and heightening of Good Sports’ mission to erode financial and access barriers for kids in need. The VISTA will specifically re-structure and implement community outreach initiatives, collaborate on the design and implementation of a new support model, and elevate storytelling of Good Sports’ impact. The VISTA will help build capacity for the organization by assisting in the design and management of community outreach initiatives, individual equipment support, and the curation of impactful stories that can be leveraged for impact reports and social media.
