What kind of equipment is available?

We are fortunate to have partnerships with a variety of equipment manufacturers across the industry – allowing us to have access to a wide variety of equipment, apparel, and footwear for a multitude of sports. Since we rely mostly on donations from these vendors, however, our inventory tends to change throughout the year. If you don’t see equipment that fits your needs currently, feel free to continue checking back in periodically throughout the year!

Are there any costs involved?

Yes. While the equipment, apparel, and footwear through this grant is free, we do have to pass along shipping and handling costs, which help cover delivery of your donation as well as operational costs associated with coordinating these donations for you. The fee comes to roughly 10% of the donation value, with a maximum fee of $1,500. Essentially, if a donation is valued at $1,000 we would ask the recipient to pay $100.

Is there an application deadline?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you may apply at any time during the year. It is recommended, however, that organizations apply at least eight (8) weeks prior to the beginning of their particular season or program to ensure that the desired equipment can be accessed and shipped on time.

How can we give our application a “boost?”

Organizations looking to strengthen their application are encouraged to send in photos and/or links to posted videos that showcase their need or demonstrate why they are a deserving program. Photos and links may be sent to community@goodsports.org. Please be sure to reference your application and organizational information within the email.
