Emerging Leaders Council

Ideal Candidate

The Good Sports Emerging Leaders Council is seeking motivated members in their 20s and 30s who are willing to promote, raise awareness, and fundraise for Good Sports’ mission. Members will also be required to drive ticket sales and secure auction items for events, as well as attend scheduled meetings.

Length of Term

One-year, renewable terms dependent on member’s ability to meet expectations of the role, outlined above.

We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, should additional seats become available on our boards.

Financially support Good Sports by raising at least $500 through various events or appeals throughout the year
Attend at least 50% of scheduled meetings throughout the year
Communicate and promote Good Sports’ mission and programs to your networks
Build awareness and connections for Good Sports in the young professional community
Help develop new fundraising opportunities for Good Sports in partnership with the Good Sports staff
Generate attendance among your network for special events
Assist, execute and participate in special events hosted by the ELC
Aid Good Sports in securing auction/raffle items and sponsorships for special events

Give back by supporting an organization doing important work
Network with other emerging leaders
Develop your professional and leadership skills
Gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector
Exposure to Good Sports leadership team & Board members through breakfast series; guest speakers at ELC meetings
Engage your friends in the cause through ELC events
