Application Process

Good Sports is proud to partner with The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. Good Sports is a national non-profit dedicated to providing brand-new sports equipment to kids in need. We are working in tandem with the Foundations to provide sports equipment to programs in the WNY region.

If you are seeking sports equipment for your organization, please fill out the Good Sports application. To apply, please fill out an application via the links below and list Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo as the referring partner.  Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. The application is not for funds. Good Sports only provides equipment support.

CRITERIA

We do ask that all applicants meet each of the following criteria:

  • Your organization must be located in one of the following counties in Western New York: Allegany, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming
  • Your organization directly serves youth between the ages of 3-18 years old
  • Your organization serves youth in high need communities
  • Your organization charges a participation fee of $299 or below
  • Your organization is located in the United States
  • Organization provides access to play for kids (this can take many different forms and does not have to be a structured sports program)

We are not able to support:

  • Short-term events such as sports camps and tournaments
  • Individual athletes
  • Tackle football (we can support flag football)
  • School Programming

Applications will be reviewed, and you will be notified of your status via email within 2-3 weeks after submission. Holiday breaks may impact notification timing. If you have any questions, please contact:
